About CareerPDF
Useful document tools should not cost you your privacy. CareerPDF does the work in your browser, so your files never have to leave your device.
Why we built it
Most free PDF websites work the same way: you upload a document, their server processes it, and you download the result. That is fine for a menu or a flyer. It is not fine for a passport scan, a contract, a payslip or a CV with your home address on it.
CareerPDF was built around one rule: your files should never need to leave your device. Modern browsers are powerful enough to merge, split, compress, sign and convert PDFs on their own, so that is where all the work happens.
How it works
The site is delivered as static files. When you open a tool, your browser loads open-source PDF engines (pdf-lib and pdf.js) and runs them locally. There is no upload endpoint and no document database. After the first visit, the tools even keep working offline.
