The output is designed for applicant tracking systems (ATS), the software that most medium and large employers use to read and rank applications before a human sees them. That means one column, real selectable text, standard section headings and no tables, text boxes or images that confuse parsers.
How to build an ATS-friendly resume in four steps
Step 1: Enter your details
Fill in your name, job title, contact details and a two or three sentence summary. Write each job as a block: the first line holds the role, company and dates, and each following line is one achievement. Leave an empty line between jobs.
Step 2: Choose a template and language
Pick one of 12 single-column templates, from Modern Clean and Strict ATS Academic to Fresh Graduate, and any accent colour. Set the resume language so the section headings match it, for example “Berufserfahrung” for a German application or «الخبرة العملية» for Arabic.
Step 3: Check the live preview
The preview is a scaled copy of the real page. Dashed lines show where one page ends and the next begins, so you can trim content before it spills onto a second page.
Step 4: Download the PDF
The built-in engine creates a text-based PDF instantly, in English or Arabic. Arabic letters are joined and laid out right to left, and the text copies back in the right order for ATS software.

A resume is one of the most sensitive documents you own: your full name, phone number, email, address history, employers and education in one place. Uploading it to an online builder means trusting that company’s storage, staff access, retention policy and security for years.
CareerPDF has no server-side database for resumes. Your draft is saved in your browser’s local storage on this device only, so it survives a page refresh but is never transmitted. You can export it as a JSON file to move it to another computer, and the “Start blank” button wipes it instantly.

Where is my resume stored?
Only in your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to CareerPDF. Clearing site data in your browser, or pressing “Start blank”, deletes it.
Can I write my resume in Arabic?
Yes. Choose Arabic as the resume language. The preview switches to right-to-left, and the download is a text PDF with joined Arabic letters that copies back as the same words.
Can I edit my old resume PDF or Word file here?
Yes. Press “Import my resume (PDF or Word)” and the builder reads the file on your device and fills in the fields, Arabic included. Check each field, choose a template, then download a new PDF or Word file. Scanned images have no text to read.
How long should my resume be?
One page is ideal for up to about ten years of experience; two pages are fine for senior roles. The page-break lines in the preview help you stay within your target.
Can I move my resume to another computer?
Use “Export JSON” to save a small file, then “Import JSON” on the other device. The file contains only your resume text and settings.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Samsung Internet on desktop, Android and iOS. JavaScript must be enabled, because the processing itself is JavaScript running on your device.
